In San Jacinto, California, a man who was suspected of stealing a Lexus was arrested by police officers on Tuesday.   However, before police were able to arrest the man, he led them on a chase from San Jacinto to Hemet.

The man, 21 year old Ruben Almanza, was driving with a teenage passenger at the time of the chase.  Both were taken into police custody before 1:00 PM.  Police say that they tried to stop the 2006 Lexus sedan after it violated vehicle codes.  Instead of stopping, Almanza initiated a chase.

On May 19^th, the owner of the Lexus reported it stolen. 

Even though the suspects tried to run from police, officers were able to track them down with help from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) in Hemet.
